Dr. Ferreira is honored to provide eye care for Cypress and the surrounding suburbs. She founded Cypress Optique in 2021 to fuse her passion for modern technology with handcrafted eyewear. Dr. Ferreira prioritizes providing her patients with a comprehensive and personalized eye care experience like no other.

Dr. Ferreira obtained her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and graduated on the dean’s list from The University of Texas at Austin; “Hook Em Horns!” Following her time in Austin, she acquired her doctorate degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She received letters of clinical excellence in family practice, pediatrics, and contact lens care. Dr. Ferreira was also nominated for the End of Year and Pediatric Optometry awards.

Dr. Ferreira is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and Dry Eye Specialist. She completed extensive training in ocular disease treatment and management for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, and neurologic-related eye conditions. She has also received certification and extensive training specialized in comprehensive dry eye diagnosis, treatment, and management. As a Dry Eye Disease sufferer herself, she has a passion for managing the condition and utilizing sophisticated technology and modern treatment options to provide her patients with a solution to the chronic cycle of dry eye symptoms.

Dr. Ferreira & Cypress Optique were honored to receive the award of CyFair Small Business of the Year in 2022. Dr. Ferreira is a recognized Dry Eye Expert in her field and mentors other physicians on treatment protocols and management of Dry Eye Disease. She currently serves as Harris County Optometric Society President for 2024.

Dr. Ferreira was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is an avid world traveler, wellness enthusiast, and mommy to 2 amazing boys. She enjoys Yoga, Pilates, and Weight Training for wellness and spending quality time with her husband, 2 kids, and their gorgeous Aussie. She loves connecting with her community through her Church, the Junior League of Houston, CyFair Chamber of Commerce, and through CyFair School Sponsorship and Vision Screening events.

Dr. Ahern is delighted to provide top-notch eye care for the Cypress Community and beyond. She joined Dr. Ferreira at Cypress Optique in 2026 to live out her passion for providing care for our most precious sense.

Dr. Ahern obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Auburn University and graduated Cum Laude; “War Eagle!” Returning to Texas, she earned her doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She was an active member of Christian Optometrists, Contact Lens Club, and Private Practice Club, where she immersed herself in the world of optometry beyond academics.

Dr. Ahern is a licensed therapeutic optometrist. She joins Dr. Ferreira with an interest in Dry Eye and also brings passion for Myopia Management and Scleral Contact Lenses. She trained under world-renowned doctors and researchers to treat and manage keratoconus, post-refractive ectasia, myopia, cataracts, glaucoma, and retinopathy secondary to diabetes and hypertension.

Dr. Ahern grew up in the hill country outside Austin, TX, and loves being in the rolling hills and escaping to the mountains. Between degrees, she spent 5 weeks backpacking the Camino de Santiago, walking from the Pyrenees mountains to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. In her free time, she loves playing intramural sports through the Church, traveling, cooking meals with friends, and going for long walks.
